CrossFit started as the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Since then it has evolved to be an all-inclusive fitness program for people of any athletic capability.
Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our armed forces, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

When you first come to Fathom, you’ll start out with a FREE intro session where you come in for a baseline workout, meet us, chat with our coaches, and talk with a trainer about your goals. Then, we’ll add you to our Foundations course, where you’ll learn all the basics of CrossFit in three private sessions with 1-on-1 attention.

Every CrossFit gym is independently owned and operated, and so there may be some not so good gyms out there with inexperienced coaches, shoddy equipment, and lackluster care. But, CrossFit in general is less dangerous than most all sports--even uncoached jogging! The experienced and proven Fathom Coaches will ensure that you’re training the safest way possible. To ensure your safety we start every new athlete with a 1-hour Intro Session and continue that 1-on-1 care for beginners with a three session Foundations Course that focuses specifically on proper movement mechanics and gym safety. No other training regime or gym can match our level of safety dedication and training.
A WOD is the workout of the day. We program a different WOD everyday.

Nope. It’s your health, so eat what you want...buuuuuut, we do advise that you eat a diet (everyday nutrition, not fad) that promotes muscle growth, fat loss, and limits your exposure to processed, genetically modified, or engineered food. If you want more advice on nutrition and meal preparation, please visit our blog and contact us to set up nutrition coaching sessions.
Ummm, have you met our owner Alec? The guy is legitimately disabled and he’s a workout ninja. So yes, you can do CrossFit with just about any limiting factor since all of our workouts can be scaled down (i.e. less reps, less weight) and modified (i.e. pull-ups with band assistance) to meet your fitness level or injury. In fact, Fathom takes pride in training wounded warriors and is a training HQ for WWP alumni, Challenge Athletes Foundation, Team RWB, and the Naval Hospital Wounded Warrior Battalion. If it can happen to the human body, chances are we’ve seen it and we know how to work with your injury and keep you training safely. Yes for sure! We have a ton of members with kids in our gym community. We understand that you may need to bring your kids to class and if so, we simply ask that the little monkeys keep off the equipment and stay in the designated kid safe area. Otherwise, all unattended children will be given pixie sticks, a Red Bull, and a cowbell for your ride home (enjoy!).
